West Yorkshire days out

Monday 8th April;
Visit to Redbrick Mill, 218 Bradford Rd, Batley, West Yorkshire WF17 6JF.

The Rimini ceramic range was created in the early fifties by Aldo Londi, the former art director of Bitossi. These desirable pieces of design are characterised by their irregular texture and vivid blue colouring. The Aldo Londi animals are handmade by ceramist masters and coated with precious glazes. Small imperfections that may be noticed are a proof of the hand processes involved in the manufacturing.

Priced £40- 155.
Tuesday 9th April;
Bradford's Impressions Gallery ONE, Centenary Square, BD1 1SD.
With a wide range of ever-changing exhibitions, the Impressions Gallery is an independent, not-for-profit space for contemporary photography.
"Our mission is to show photography that gets you looking, thinking and talking."
 The book shop here is always worth going for, with a great little range of magazines.
I took these photos of some of the pages which could link to my own work,
from 'FOAM' and 'HotShoe' magazine.
Erwin Olaf
This work is from Olaf's 2001 work, "Paradise Portraits".

Daniel Gordon
Visit to Birstall Shopping Park;
Barker and Stonehouse, Unit H, Gelderd Road, Birstall, WF17 9AD.

These photos showcase how little details make big differences.
They create a mood, a theme, a scene, unlike the other furniture showrooms, Barker and Stonehouse sell you style and taste.
The collections of different accessories;
chairs, clocks, bats, suitcases, trophies etc.
each room has products which all serve a purpose and are there for a reason.
