WE ARE FAMILY!
This is my fabric family
produced in my Foundation Diploma Year
at Batley School of Art.
I think I might convert them into scarecrows in the summer.
How to make the most out of small spaces
How to convert a Wendy House into an...
Art Studio/ New Office/ Gardening Shed/The Dog's Boudoir
Yesterday I decided that it was about time for my old Wendy House to get a fresh look.
This is how it looked at 10:30am.
So after clearing out all of the rubbish, dust and spiders,
I swept and mopped the floor and walls.
The paint left over from our bathroom was used for the walls,
and I liked the thought of having my old bedroom colour, lilac, on the ceiling.
This is how it looked at 4:20pm.
Next, I brought in some of my old art work to brighten the place up.
This is how it looked at 5pm.
Then the sad part, bringing in all of the garden furniture etc.
But I was sneaky and convinced my mum to put some in storage under the house.
This is how it looked at 6pm.
I tried to make some of the walls still have some sort of style and design to them.
Muffin loves his new house.

Display Photo Masterclass
How to make a unique display picture
I use Photoroom on my Windows phone,
but any program like Picasa or Photoshop will do the same.
Start out with a photograph of yourself.
Crop any unnecessary parts out in the background.
Use vignette editing tool, for this image I used a 35mm setting.
Next I used a blur tool, to soften the edges a little.
V Mirror gave me the next effect.
Then I flipped the image vertically, mirrored it, then horizontally again.
And this is the finished display photo.

Longest Eyelashes in the World
My latest film is a humorous attempt at "advertising" lashes.
So to get some of the lingo, I have been watching existing videos/ adverts from the leading make up brands.
Barry M is my favourite out of the ones below, their fun and witty outlook is exactly what I want my work to portray.
Barry M Lash Vegas Mascara advert
Rimmel London
Maxfactor
Key words for my video;
Introducing...
Clump free/ no clumps
False lash effect
100% glamour
Volume with length
Instantly endless
(Some pointless percentage of women who agree)
Brand new formula

You've Changed
I really like this video, such an interesting idea, and it makes me think more about what I am doing in the videos which I create.
I too have hand held props, which are quick and easy to produce, and do the job- but they add more personality I feel. I like that the hands can be seen turning the numbers and holding the words along the bottom.
If I'd have seen this video sooner, my work would be rather different, and visually better. Although I have thought about most aspects, I forgot about the backgrounds, until it comes to the production part, where I make changes using Photoshop if I need to, but I could have done so much more. There would have been backgrounds, as at the moment I just have plain white screen behind me, there would have been more thought going into the idea behind the work.
I will use this video for developmental ideas or future recommendations.
Clap Your Hands
All of Sia's music videos are experimental and visually stunning, but this one is my favourite; I think that is down to the puppets.
