I'm a Creep..

Using my microphone, Movie Maker and Audicity programs, I have been producing a range of videos using the same visuals but trying out different audio techniques.

For this video, i changed the pitch on my voice over, the tempo for the background beat and repeated the quiet kissing noises.

Breathing

I recently bought a new microphone so that i could get a different sound to what i already can achieve using the inbuilt microphone on the laptop.

The pound shop mic is good in a way that its rubbish!

The sound is slighlty muffled and quiet, which works brilliantly against the exsiting audio i had in place..

More to come, these are all testers, my deadline is the third week in January, so hopefully by then i should have something i like lots!

The Multiple

This was the original draft idea for the multiple which i am creating as part of my module, Location and Application.

The plan is to make the design a little less 'basic/ formal/ average', this format that i have chosen for the silk scarf is slightly A-Level-ish.

I want the scarf to be a singular image, using more illustration than photography, making the lines softer and allowing the image to speak for itslef, rather than having the repet pattern, which is a little bit "in your face"!

New silk scarf templates will be up soon..

Future Fashion....

Looking again for fashion predictions for the future...

(All  uploaded videos are from You Tube, and all bold writing is from the you tube clip itself)

This project aims to create a remarkable space with a whole new fashion retail concept. Giving an opportunity for different people to get together, consumers, designers, tailors, artists, visitors... In order to reeducate them new knowledge and ideas about fashion through participating the recreate processes. Also by reselling and remaking recycle materials to give a rebirth to discarded objects, at the same time to recall some of our lost memories. It is time to reform the traditional fashion system to a new way of thinking, interacting and living. So be prepared of the future by refashion your minds."

Silk Scarves

I am now using my illustrations to create a new peice of art, for the multiple which we need to produce for Major Project A.

This 'multiple' will then be used to promote myself/ my work.

I have chosen to translate the drawings into patterns for silk scarves!

This page is for my Formative Assessment, some research into silk scarves on the market today, and some of my scarves which ive scanned in and mirrored.

As the competition is all about future fashion, i have chosen my illustration which i feel best describes my vision;

tin foil jacket
pale skin
big hair
exaggerated make-up
contact lenses

So, the square scarf design above is my multiple idea, hopefully i can print this in our college print room, and i'd like to make a set of 5, about 60 x 60 cm.

Colour trends 2013

Looking at the colour trends for the upcoming year, i decided to have my own fashion/ hair colour trend for 2013, my own predictions, for young women and the more mature woman.

Collage

Working on variations of myself, for the Diversity NOW! competition; using different sizes for the features, different skin tones, and colours/shades for the clothing.

Taking facial features from previous photography and mixing it with my illsutrations.
For example, i have used my skin on the last three images, and reduced the opacity, to allow the ink to still show through.

PINK

Todays work!

I think that beauty is..

Here is my 'Marylin' look-a-like image, which started out as a photograph mof myself, then altered on photoshop nd printed out on A4.
Using black ink i drew back into the image, and 'coloured' it in on photoshop.

Sticking to the beauty subject, i used Christina Aguilera lyrics for the fist piece, and i looked up the meaning of the word for the second image.

The backgrounds are made up of a drawing of the dog tooth pattern, from earlier on in my sketchbook.
These images are all made using my own original work and drawings.

You beauty!!

The work has developed now from the initial photographs, to video, now into illustration.

Still asking the question "What is beautiful?".

With my supplies (acetate, marker pens and paper) i have created quite alot of work
in the last week, here are the results.

Using a different image, i used my favourite tool, photoshop to erase most of the image,
just leaving a very faint outline for me to draw back into,
and here's what came next.

SHINY PHOTOSHOOT!

So, for this photoshoot i wanted to portray the future, in a tacky, silly sort of way.

Lots of silver, white, large dark eyebrows which i've seen on the catwalk and clean lines.

Finding inspiration from Hussein Chalayan (see previous posts), Swan Lake,
Lady Gaga, the list goes on!

This shoot consisted of:

White, gold, bronze and grey eyeshadows
Black liquid eyeliner
Dark brown eyebrow powder
Tin foil
Pink lipgloss
Fake feather lashes
Nail varnishes
Mascara
Acetate
Masking tape
A variety of pens
and some Letter Stamps

This was my starting point, a tin foil hat...

Moving on, having the foil as a part of my hair....

Next I decided to change the foil into a fringe/visor..

I used masking tape to cover my mouth next, which meant i could still allow the pink lip to be seen...

The following stage amounted to me 'upping the ante', increasing the amount of make-up...

I tried some gold glitter NAIL VARNISH on my LIPS next!!
DO NOT TRY THIS AT HOME!

Lashes were the next logical thing on the adgenda...

Finishing up with a variety of different mouths...

Thank you for viewing :)

CHAV PHOTOSHOOT!

Asking the question: What Is Beautiful?

I have decided to make myself into a variety of stereotypical women from society, into what i believe the future holds...

Experimenting

Make-up

Styling

FUN

Keep an eye out for my other photo shoots coming soon!!

Comedy Fashion

Trying to find a link between the serious world of fashion, and my comedic style of work, I have come across these videos.

Mature Style

After having a tutorial I feel like im back on track with my true self, the illustrations that I have been doing recently are too serious, and not really portraying me and my thoughts/opinions on fashion.

YouTube has become a really quick, easy and very efficent way for me to research, with just a few key words, I am able to find what i want.

So, an idea that I'm going to start looking at today is fashion for older women, whether it's keeping up with current trends, or living as a blast from the past.

Here are some videos about fashionable mature women, enjoy!

The possibilities are endless

I found this image on google and loved the style, the silver, the shapes, and anything else starting with the letter S!

After finding this photo, i then came across the video which it has come from.

This is a catwalk video, showcasing the clothes of Turkish/ British Fashion Designer, Hussein Chalayan.

A wonderfully futuristic idea!

Lacoste

Another futuristic video, this time an advert by Lacoste.

Sparkly Scribbles

Using the acetate that i originally drew onto from fashion images out of magazines,( found: Next advert and Star magazine), i have now added a splash of colour, with nail polish.

Typography plays a big part in advertising as well as the product, so i added the word 'living', using the front of an Argos catologue, just to test out how lettering fits into the image.
